Read Numbers Like Stories, Not Spreadsheets

Most people freeze when they see financial data. But what if you could spot patterns others miss? Our autumn 2025 program teaches you to interpret market analysis with confidence—not just crunch numbers, but understand what they actually mean for decision-making.

Context Over Calculation

You'll spend more time analyzing why numbers changed than memorizing how to compute them. We focus on Taiwan's unique market dynamics—understanding local investment patterns and regional economic factors that textbooks never cover.

Real Reports, Not Hypotheticals

Every case study comes from actual businesses operating in Asian markets. You'll work with anonymized but authentic financial statements, learning to spot red flags and opportunities the way analysts do in practice.

Communication Skills That Matter

Technical accuracy means nothing if you can't explain your findings. Half our curriculum focuses on presenting analysis clearly—turning complex data into recommendations that non-finance professionals can act on confidently.

How Our Program Actually Works

Six months starting September 2025. Practical sessions twice weekly. No prerequisites except curiosity and commitment.

Phase One

Foundation Without the Fluff

First eight weeks cover essential concepts—balance sheets, income statements, cash flow analysis. But we skip the theory lectures. Instead, you'll dissect real company reports from day one, learning terminology as you encounter it naturally in context.

Phase Two

Pattern Recognition Training

Weeks nine through sixteen focus on comparative analysis. You'll examine multiple companies in the same industry, learning to identify trends and anomalies. This phase builds your intuition—teaching you what "normal" looks like so you can spot when something's off.

What You'll Be Able to Do

By March 2026, these capabilities should feel natural. Not guaranteed, but this is what successful graduates typically achieve.

01

Audit Financial Statements

Quickly assess whether reports are reliable or need deeper investigation. You'll know which ratios matter for different business types and which are just noise.

02

Present Analysis Clearly

Translate numbers into narratives that stakeholders understand. Create visual summaries that highlight key insights without overwhelming audiences with raw data.

03

Forecast with Context

Build projections that account for market conditions and business cycles. Understand limitations of your models and communicate uncertainty appropriately.

I came in thinking I'd learn Excel shortcuts. Instead, I learned how to think about business health. The program changed how I approach any financial document—now I ask better questions before diving into calculations. Worth every evening I spent on case studies.
